I can do it all by myself.
Fridays are my day off. I usually spend them at home with Hudson, and when he is content and/or sleeping I get to have "me time". There's always something to do like dishes, laundry, my nails...etc. I don't ever sit in front of the t.v. when i'm by myself. I will have the t.v. on and follow episodes while i'm running around our apartment. I get bored, and my mind starts racing with things I could be doing.
I guess I can be pretty annoying that way, but I have always loved to be productive when I have the time, and even more so that I have a baby to toggle in the mixture of it all. The only time I allow myself to sit down is when I'm feeding Hudson.
One of my good friends at work does a lot of crafting, and I have always envied her for taking the time to make homemade decor for her family to enjoy. So I started researching and decided to start projects of my own. I have been experimenting with putting pictures I have taken onto canvases. It is very simple crafting, but it has given me so much inspiration to take on other projects. I think now that I have this whole raising-a-baby thing down (kinda!), I feel it is time to move on and better myself.
I want to be a mom and wife that is creative and skilled in areas that are visually (and tastefully) appealing for my family. As i'm sitting here writing, I am using our crock pot for the first time and have a delicious smelling pot roast slow cooking for Ben and me to have when he gets home from work. "Doing it myself" has given me so many ideas that I can't wait to try out.
Pinterest.com has definitely had 99.9% to do with all this motivation I have for these things. That site is incredible.
Cheers to the new season!
